For those that have attended previous events, you'll know that the team do an incredible job putting on fun, inclusive and safe family-friendly events, working closely with the attending vendors to create a truly vibrant and diverse market. This next market is all about food and drink with plenty of tasty offerings so let's take a look at what to expect!
The Ruthin Food & Drink Festival kicks off on Saturday 16th April 2022 at 11:00. The mighty gates of the gaol will be thrown open and you'll be welcomed in to explore. There's no entry fee but the greeters at the gates will be collecting donations for the restoration of the munitions shed, all donations are greatly appreciated and a huge thank you is owed to everyone that donated last year as the markets managed to raise over £1000! As always, the Ruthin Artisan Markets team at the gates will be happy to answer questions and point you in the direction of anything you're looking for. Dogs and well-behaved humans are welcome.
No matter what you're hungry for, you'll be sure to find something delicious at the market.
Local boys, Monster Grill will be there with their mouthwatering burgers, Little Tram Catering will have Pizza available and Maggies African Twist will be offering, well, an African twist. For those with a sweet tooth, local legends, Chilly Cow Ice Cream are attending as well as K&G Chocolates, Royle Bakes, Percy Puds and Tinas Mini Donuts.
You'll also find Eco-friendly and Vegan options at Rachels Eco & Vegan Snacks. Pen Y Bryn Apiary will be there with delicious honey goods and Jem Jams and Tom Tree Farm will cover your jam and chutney cravings.
Blighty Booch is back once again with their ever-popular kombucha and Swig Smoothie is also there with its fruity offerings and we can all get our morning caffeine hit from Ffika Coffee too.
For those over 18, there's a range of boozy stalls available including Cariad Gin, Angel Feathers Liqueur, Magic Dragon Brewing and the 612 Bar will be there with cocktails. And of course, there will be real ale and local cider with Big Hand Brewery, Rosies Cider and Hafod Brewing Co.
There's a range of craft stalls available for you to browse and shop as well so make a list of the birthdays and anniversaries you've forgotten, you're sure to find something.
There are handcrafted soaps from Just Moo, Ceramics from Kirsty Williams and Sarah Bartlem and of course the fabulous Mal the Woodman will be there too.
It's great to see so many visitors to the town on market days and remember that there's plenty to see and do in Ruthin on Saturdays. The Food & Drink Festival is hosted in the centre of town so exploring the rest of the town is easy and enjoyable. Guests to the market can come and go as they please so no need to worry about nipping back to the car when things get too much to carry. Speaking of nipping back to the car, parking is available at Cae Ddol car park across the road as well as Park Road car park over the footbridge next to the gaol. There is also parking available on Market Street and Dog Lane.
There's plenty more to come from Ruthin Artisan Markets this year so subscribe to the Love Ruthin newsletter for updates about upcoming events!
